A word from our Warden
Dr Henry Lau is an Associate Professor in Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering Department of the University of Hong Kong since 1997, he specialises in artificial intelligence, especially in artificial immune systems (AIS). Dr Lau joined University Hall in 2011 and has been the Warden since then.
I am honoured and privileged to be the 8th Warden of University Hall, and it gives me great pleasure to welcome you. University Hall is indeed a unique historical heritage that was originally known as the Douglas Castle. While we are attracted by its architectural beauty and peaceful surroundings, yet what make University Hall unique are its vibrant residents – the ‘Castlers’. Over more than half a century, University Hall has nurtured students with vision and passion to make a change to themselves and to the society at large. We believed that University Hall is a place for those who are looking for ideals and brotherhood, challenges and opportunities. May I sincerely invite you to come and join us!
Wishes, Dr. Henry Y. K. Lau
